Die Außenzehe ist mit der Mittelzehe bis zum ersten Gelenke verwachsen, welches Kennzeichen in Verbindung mit dem auf der Firste nicht gebogenen Schnabel wohl eine eigene Gattung bestimmen dürfte, daher ich den Namen Syndactyla rufosuperciliata vorschlagen möchte, denn ein wahrer Xenops, wie ihn LAFR. und BONAP. consp. 211.5. aufgeführt haben, ist er nicht. — Brasilien: B.
