Bei G. stragulata [= Myiothlypis rivularis] findet sich zwar schon ein merklich breiter, von der typischen Form abweichender Schnabel, jedoch ist derselbe immer noch nach der Spitze hin seitlich zusammengedrückt und mit stärker gebogener Firste."
