Range.—The Serranía de Macuire, Guajira, Colombia, above 1,500 feet elevation. ... The Macuire race fratruelis is found only in the higher forests of the mountain range in question and probably consists of only a small population." (Wetmore 1946) (subsp. Arremon schlegeli).
