(Tyrannidae; Ϯ Drab-breasted Bamboo Tyrant H. diops) Gr. ἡμι- hēmi- small < ἡμισυς hēmisus half; τρικκος trikkos unidentified small bird. In ornithology triccus signifies tyrant flycatcher; "PHYLLOSCARTES ... In ihre Nähe würden zu stellen sein die Genera: Hemitriccus Nob. (von ἡμι, halb und τρικκος = Todus). (Musciphaga (!) Less. 1831). Von Euscarthmus durch längere Flügel, stärken und breitern Schwanz und grössere Entwickelung der Bartborsten verschieden: H. diops. — Muscicapa diops "Natt." Temm.
