Zuerst beschreibt SWAINSON das von ihm beobachtete merkwürdige Nest, welches so groß ist, daß es zur Staffage der Landschaft um Bahia beiträgt. Es hängt an niedern Sträuchern, außerlich aus trockenen Stäben ohne alle Verwebung zusammengesetzt, 3—4 Fuß lang, von fern wie ein dickes Gewirre von Bohnenstroh, wie zufällig gestaltet aussehend."
