Trichophorus Temm. ist später als Trichas Gloger vorgeschlagen.  Für die Gattung Trichas Sws., April 1827 haben wir den Namen Geothlypis (Fam. Sylvicolidae) vorgeschlagen   1. Trichas barbata (Temm.).   2. T. gularis (Horsf.).   3. T. icterica (Strickl.).   4. T. flaveola (Gould). etc." (Cabanis 1847); "Geothlypis Cabanis, 1847, Archiv für Naturgesch., 13, pp. 316, 349.  New name for Trichas Swainson, (June) 1827, preoccupied by Trichas Gloger, (March) 1827."
