(Trochilidae; Ϯ Glittering-bellied Emerald C. lucidus pucherani) Gr. χλωρος khlōros green; στιλβων stilbōn, στιλβοντος stilbontos shining, an epithet of the planet Mercury (cf. στιλβη stilbē lamp); "[plate] CHLOROSTILBONA PRASINA. ... [text] CHLOROSTILBON PRASINUS. Brazilian Emerald. ... The male has the upper and under surface yellowish green, with a golden lustre on the crown of the head and the sides of the neck; wings purplish brown; tail black, glossed with steel-blue; throat brilliant grass-green" (Gould 1853); "Chlorostilbon Gould, Monogr.
