(Cuculidae; Ϯ Sirkeer Malkoha T. leschenaultii) French name “Tacco,” given to the Jamaican Lizard Cuckoo Saurothera vetula by de Buffon 1770-1783 (“This bird has the name Tacco from its cry, which is like that word; the first syllable of this is pronounced hardly, the other following in a full octave lower than the first” (Latham 1781); Coucou cuckoo; "XXX.e Genre. TACCOÏDE; Taccocua. Bec moins long que la tête, beaucoup plus haut que large, très-comprimé sur les côtés, à mandibule supérieure très-convexe, recourbée et crochue au bout; narines peu apparentes, en fissures basales, cachées par les plumes du front; ailes courtes, pointues; tarses médiocres, robustes, scutellés, terminés par des ongles très-petits.
