Bec médiocre, élevé, fort, très-comprimé, très-crochu; tarses plus alongés. Queue assez longue, ample, arrondie et étagée; les espèces sont d'Afrique. 1.º Lanius boulboul, Shaw; Levaill., pl. 68.
