Rend. xxxviii. p. 6 (1854)   ...   Not being able to concur in Prince Bonaparte's transfer of his name Cichlalopia to this genus, I have used the term Margarops (μαργαρος et ωψ) — sc. "Pearly-eyed Thrush," as Messrs. Newton call it." (P. Sclater 1859).
