(Rallidae; Ϯ White-throated Rail D. cuvieri) Gr. δρυς drus, δρυος druos  tree; Mod. L. limnas  rail  < Gr. λιμνας limnas  of the marsh  < λιμνη limnē  marsh; "DRYOLIMNAS, gen. n.  Simile generi "Canirallus" dicto et culmine longiore quam digitus internus cum ungue, sed naribus longitudinalibus angustissimis, apertura nasali vix evidente, distinguendum.  Typus D. cuvieri (Pucher.)"
