DEFINITIONS

DASYLOPHUS
(Cuculidae; Ϯ Red-crested Malkoha D. superciliosus) Gr. δασυς dasus  hairy, shaggy; λοφος lophos  crest; "DASYLOPHUS, Sw. (fig. 286.a)  Bill rather large, compressed its whole length.  Gonys angulated.  Culmen convex, gradually arched.  Frontal feathers incumbent, and concealing the nostrils.  Feathers before the eye erect, forming a double crest.    D. superciliosus.
