Dieselbe schliesst sich näher als die folgenden Gruppen [Myiarchus] an die Tyrannen an, durch lange spitze Flügel. Der Schwanz ist ausgerandet und die kurzen Läufe geben ein characteristisches Kennzeichen ab. Hierher gehören ferner: C. Cooperi. — Muscicapa Cooperi Nutt. C. cinereus — Platyrhynchus cinereus Spix.
