EMBERIZA.  Rostrum conicum.  Mandibulæ basi deorsum a se invicem discedentes: inferiore lateribus inflexo-coarctata; superiore angustiore." (Linnaeus 1758); "Emberiza Linnaeus, 1758, Syst.
