DEFINITIONS

TOUIT
(Psittacidae; Ϯ Scarlet-shouldered Parrotlet T. huetii) Tupí name Tuí eté  really little parrot, for the parrotlets (“Tuiete” of Marcgrave 1648); "1508.  TOUIT, Less. 1831.  Pyrrhulopsis, Pr. B. 1854, nec Reichenb. 1849.  (Psittacus Hueti, Temm.)" (G. Gray 1855).
Synon. Euchroura, Pyrrhulopsis, Urochroma.

Batavia (= Jakarta), Java (originally the capital of the Dutch East Indies, and named from L. Batavia Holland).
