Var. Sciurus, Sejurus, Senurus, Siurus (“It is hardly necessary to change the name Seiurus, Sw. (N.B. It should be written Siurus). This word seems to be quite sufficiently distinct in sound from Seisura, Vig. (which ought to be spelled Sisura), not to be confounded with it” (Strickland 1841)).
