III.   1. cyanella (Sparm.) ex Bras. int.  ...  III. PORPHYROSPIZA, gen. nov. p. 30  (πορφυρα, purpur, et σπιζα, fringilla).   A Cyanospiza, cujus coloribus gaudet, rostro graciliore, longiore, sicut in genere Coryphospingo formato, diversa, et huic generi magis approximanda.  Typus, P. CYANELLA, i.e. Cyanospiza cyanella, Pelzeln, Orn. Bras. p. 227, ex Brasilia" (P. Sclater & Salvin 1873); "Porphyrospiza P. L. Sclater and Salvin, 1873, Nomen. Av. Neotrop., pp. 30, 155.
